◆Your name?
Pin
◆If possible, your age?
20
◆When did you start drawing?
when i was about 3 (according to my mom)
◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
right
◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
I think female, but I like drawing male (young boys) more
◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
long (you can sometimes forget about the shape of the back of the head)
◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
left
◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
I agree with az! I like drawing people facing at a certain angle, not the side view though.
◆What do you have problems in drawing?
noses of people
◆What do you like to draw?
people from my imagination, most of them are children and women. I like leaves also.
◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
traditional, but if doing things digitally will help or will contribute something more, i turn to digital. Recently, I've been mixing both.
◆Where do you start drawing from?
Also the shape of the face, sometimes I start with a circle.
◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I walk around in the middle of the job, but if I can finish the job in one day without doing something else apart from walking, I would do it. I not only have a short attention time, I also get tired of what I'm drawing fast also.
◆What do you keep in mind when you do lineart?
symmetry. If you can't achieve it, find a way to make your work look symmetrical nonetheless.
◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
Don't be afraid of color. And don't rub all the pencil marks when you shade. That's not the way to shade; it would make your work look muddy.
◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Recently, the whole day.
◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
none. sometimes, whatever as long as there's noise. It's either silence or noise.
◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
FOREVER especially when doing illustrations. For my personal work, I usually start with something vague that I usually already have. I often do not start drawing if I don't have ideas in mind. Total opposite of Az's method! :3
◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
soft pencils, or ordinary pencils. ballpoint pens for doodles. techpens for outlining.
◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
pink or teal. then yellow.
◆Your favorite style(s)?
recently, i've been into crispy line art. I've always been into bright complementary colors. My work are not at all realistic. I don't think I have a name for my style. Pin's Personal Wonderland?
They feel cold and sad though, no matter what I do.
◆Are you satisfied with your current art?
"of course not" (Az)
◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
the best of Pin... I'm recently loving japanese/chinese influenced art. I've always done work something children's literature illustration-ish but for adults since High School. I think it's probably because I love children's literature a lot. ooohh I like James Jean! Or the boys of Miami Ink!
◆Thank you.

Ihinto na natin ang kalokohan. Itigil na ang neo-kolonyalismo. Itaguyod ang sining at kulturang Pilipino!
